Communal Day (6)

Pop along to see how we are managing at our Communal Day and give the place a little freshen up.
We also have a special guest today to talk to us about Pollinators too. Pollinator expert Dr Miranda Bane is going to be running two training sessions teaching us pollinator surveying as part of the UK Pollinator Monitoring Scheme.
Miranda will be running two drop-in sessions starting at 10.30 and 11.30am. Each session will be around 20 mins, and she will explain how to identify the main pollinator groups and target flowers, and then work through a 10 min pollinator survey. It is a great way to engage with insects and plants, and find out how good your allotment is for pollinators. It’s suitable for all ages, so a great opportunity to bring along your young ones.
If you are able to bring along some tasty treats to have with our coffee after the day, that would be greatly appreciated, and as always, if you made it with someone from your allotment, a Curly Wurly is yours.
