Member's Meeting 1 - July 2023

Our First Member’s Meeting was held directly after the closing of AGM (Part 2) on 1st July 2023. 

  • Agreement on Member’s Meetings to be held in The Hub to reduce costs and provide easier access to Member’s following Communal Days
  • Membership update including number on waiting list, vacant plots and plans to fill them
  • Financial Report provide of up to date balances
  • Treasurer requested membership fees to be paid directly to bank account (Bank of Scotland, Croftburn Allotments, Account Number 19659962, Sort Code: 80-22-60, using your Name and Plot number as reference) DUE by 31 July 2023.
  • Any items bought exceeding £50.00 must be brought before the Member’s for consideration – excluding Insurance, Machinery Maintenance
  • Public Liability Insurance Payment to be made in August
  • GCC proposed fee increase
  • Plot Inspections and forthcoming GCC Directives concerning plots – awaiting updates
  • Planned Improvements include:
    –    Wild Meadow – volunteers required
    –    Sensory Garden – volunteers required
    –    Communal Food Growing – volunteers required
    –    Lavender & Heather planting for borders – volunteers required
  • Fundraising required for Hot Bins, Open Days, Solar Power for Cabin
  • AOB:
    –    Contact council to request completion of Tar paths
    –    Consideration of Tap near pond area
    –    Washer changes for all taps to maintain potential leaks
