- A continued plea for Member’s to stop dumping rubbish in the corner of the car park. It is the plot holders responsibility to remove their own waste.
- We now have 3 contacts who will keep us supplied with woodchip when in the area
- With thanks to Derek (Plot 22) for donating shelving and trolleys to the allotment for our use.
- GCC has been notified of the serious nature of the broken front gate and the urgency to repair it.
- Fruit tree purchase will be completed within the next month (March)
- All Missives were submitted by the Secretary in early February and received by GCC
- The Constitution and Rules were updated as per the AGM 2023 meeting and available on our website.
- The members present agreed to the purchase of a new strimmer with a budget of up to £200.00.
- The members present agreed to the sale of the trailer as it is not be utilised enough to warrant keeping it.
- The members present agreed to the purchase of Crocuses from the Rotary Club for Purple4Polio and the bulbs will be ordered shortly, for delivery after August. (https://www.rotarygbi.org/projects/purple4polio/crocus/)
- The strimmers will now only be available to use via a core team of members who will strim. Too many returned strimmers are broken and not repaired owing to costly repairs later on. Please request from the Maintenance Officer the use of a stimmer via the Secretary who will put you in touch with a named member to strim on your behalf.
- Members requested a tabled plot holder named list to be available for all members to view.
- Members present agreed to the reduction of tree branches over plot C, D and E and to the raising of the Holly bushes in the front entrance as well as their reduction.
Planned Event
- Harvest Show in late August early September
Request for Assistance
- St Bartholomew School is requesting assistance to start a garden at the school and is looking for some support from allotment holders. Please get in Contact if this may interest you.
Inspector Volunteers Required
- We are looking for 3 plot holders who can carry out inspections as their Communal hours for the year, and can be done in their own time. Please contact the Secretary to find out more.
